I have been a vegetarian my whole life. I have tasted meat before, but never eaten it regularly. I remember a short period where I would eat chicken fried rice, but I don't think that last very long. Other than that, I just eat it when I don't really have a choice (which is very rarely, because I will usually just not eat if that's the case), or when Brandon orders something with chicken and I take a teeny tiny little taste. I never just outright eat it.
Today, Brandon made himself a turkey dog. It smelled so good. So, I tasted a little bit, and it tasted so good. He asked, "do you want one?" And, after some hesitation, I said, "yes." I made him heat mine, cause I didn't really want to touch it. Then, I put it in a bun, squirted ketchup on it, and ate it....until I got about 2/3 into it. I couldn't eat it any more. It wasn't yummy to me anymore. So, Brandon finished it.
I know it seems like a stupid thing, to most people, but it was very out of the ordinary for me. I chose to eat meat as my dinner. I planned to eat the whole thing. I didn't get through it all...and I don't plan on ever eating one again....but....#6 anyway.

#5 All Wrapped Up
My Mom bought a gift certificate for a mineral wrap, and she got it half off. So, she invited me to go with her. Now, before you get all testy and protest that I have no reason to get a mineral wrap, because I'm skinny, stop. First of all, I get frustrated when people make comments like, "Yeah, like you need to watch what you eat" or "Please, you don't need to work out." As if, because I am thin, I have no right to work towards a healthy lifestyle.
So, I wouldn't have gotten this wrap, if it hadn't been free for me to go. I don't care about losing inches, which is the big deal about getting these wrap. But, I do care about improving my cellulite (yes, I do have some), and cleansing my body of toxins. A mineral wrap does both.
So, my mother and I trucked over to the wrap place (after purchasing our cupcakes from the cupcake shop in town, haha). We got drawn on, measured, and then wrapped in wet, mineral soaked Ace bandage type things. She wrapped me so tight, I couldn't breath in deeply, and it felt like it was constricting my circulation (to which I was told I have to keep moving). She squirted us down with more mineral water every 20 minutes, and we stood in this room, trying to move in our very constricting mummy suits, and sorta watched the movie that they put on for us.
I have to say, I did not enjoy it. It was slightly cold, not comfortable, and not very fun. And, as a person who gets neck tension very easily, I ended up with a sore neck afterward. But, I hope it was at least good for my health. I must admit, I didn't wait the 24 hours I was supposed to wait before showering (I get too greasy for that), and I did not keep away from sugar (as I ate my cupcake when we got home). But, it is always nice to spend time with my mommy, so we have that at least. :)

#4 Hurley's First Hike
For those of you who don't know, I believe that the 7th day is the Sabbath. This means, that I observe Saturday as God's day of rest. I go to church on Saturday, and try to set aside the day to be a little different then the rest of the week. Although, I want to spend every day with God, on Sabbath I set the day apart for Him a little more. When the weather is nice, I really like to spend time in nature. I don't think you can get much closer to God than in nature.
So, we went on a hike this past Sabbath. We have a puppy who's about 3 or 4 months old (we don't really know, cause he was a rescue). He spends most of his life at our house, and has only left to go to one of our parents' house. So, this was a new thing for Hurley.
He didn't quite enjoy the ride up. He threw up twice (Luckily, Brandon cleaned it up). But, once we got there, he was rarin' to go. He pulled Brandon up the hills and the two of them left me in the dust. Haha. We ate a picnic lunch at the top of the mountain. And then, headed back down to see the falls. He isn't used to so much stimulation. There were plenty of people and dogs for him to discover. He did much better than I expected. He didn't really seem scared of the other dogs, and he loved the hike.
On the way back, Brandon sat in the back with Hurley, which seemed to calm him down and keep him from getting sick.
As soon as we got home I laid on the couch, and fell asleep for over 2 hours (I'm not much of a napper). That night Hurley was so calm. He just laid around with me while I watched movies and TV. I guess we really tuckered him out.
