While potty training, we kept Hurley in our kitchen during the day while we were working. After a few weeks, he had learned how to climb over the baby gates keeping him in. So, he had to stay in the bathroom all day. This meant he got very wild by the end of the day, so I started driving home on my lunch break (25 minutes each way) to let him out to potty and get out for a second (almost literally a second). This was causing lots of stress on me, so we decided to buy a big covered cage/kennel thing at Sam's. Seemed like a good idea, until we realized that it had to go in our front yard, because of the slant of the land everywhere else.
Then, came the vet visit, where our 4.5 month dog already weighed 28 lbs and we were told he would probably grow to about 60. So, I got some estimates, talked someone down (saved over $200!), Brandon cleared a nice area in our back yard (with some help from his parents), and we got a fence installed! I think our house looks more appealing, now!
